As a men's swimwear manufacturer with its own factory in China, Closswim makes swim shorts and performance swimwear for brands, retailers and swim teams in Europe and the US. We have been producing since 2009 and handle everything from pattern making to final packing.
Styles We Make
- Swim trunks and swim shorts — classic shorter-length trunks in solid colors or all-over prints, with mesh or brief liners
- Board shorts — longer shorts in rigid or 4-way-stretch fabric, with flat-front waistbands, lace-up flies and side or back pockets
- Jammers — knee-length competition and training jammers, plain or printed
- Two-piece racing suits — sleeveless and long-sleeve tops with matching bottoms for racing and open-water training
Fabrics and Custom Details
Leisure trunks are usually made in quick-dry polyester or peached microfiber, while board shorts work well in lightweight polyester or polyester/spandex for extra stretch. Jammers and racing suits use nylon/spandex or chlorine-resistant polyester that holds its shape through daily training. Recycled polyester is available across the range. You choose the waistband (elastic, drawcord or fixed with a lace-up fly), liner, pocket style, inseam length and trims such as eyelets and aglets, plus prints and Pantone-matched colors. Logos can be printed, embroidered, or applied as rubber badges or woven labels, alongside your own hang tags and packaging.
How Ordering Works
Each style needs 200 pieces per color, with 400 pieces per order (±10%). Samples are ready within 7 days of confirming the design and fabric, and the USD 50–150 sample fee is refunded on your bulk order. Bulk production takes 2–4 weeks. Men's Swimwear FAQ
Should our board shorts be rigid or stretch, and how do they differ from swim trunks?
Traditional board shorts use a tightly woven, non-stretch polyester that dries fast and keeps a crisp shape, while 4-way-stretch versions add spandex for freedom of movement when surfing or paddling. Swim trunks are usually shorter and made in a lighter quick-dry fabric with a built-in liner. We can send fabric swatches so you can compare weight and hand feel before sampling.
Can you add a liner, or make shorts without one?
Both are possible. Swim trunks usually have a mesh brief or a soft compression liner, while many board shorts are left unlined so they can be worn over separate swim briefs. Tell us the liner type and fabric you prefer and we will build it into the sample.
What waistband and closure options do you offer?
We make full elastic waistbands with an internal drawcord, flat-front waistbands with elastic at the back, and fixed waistbands with a lace-up fly and hook-and-loop or snap closure. Drawcords can have custom-branded aglets, and eyelets can be metal or embroidered. Your logo can sit on the waistband, the leg or a woven tab.
